Title 11 Persuasion - Progress

Of things you do not know, or do not trust, you can take tiny little steps to test, explore, stand on ideas, new truths.

When I persuade you or you persuade another, or a book goads you on, we must take tiny steps.  Depending on the knowledge, experience and confident of the explorer, he will take risks. The less experienced will take only the smallest risks.  The very timid will retreat, abandoned their goal on the first sign of trouble or suspicion of failure.

The more experienced and harden explorer can take some set back without flinching, without retreating.

Victory is the prize of confidence. Those who embark against heavy odds against them, but through their confidence, or their knowledge, or conviction or any combination, they are not discouraged when things do not proceed as they envisioned or expected.

When you do new things, you can hardly know in great detail how it will all work out.  But as you progress, with your wits about you, you may have the destiny or the mental facility to adapt to the conditions you encounter to progress.

Suppose you live in a village and everyone tells you the small hills that rim your village is the limit of where you can go, that an ocean lies beyond.

Yet, when you boldly climb the hill, you see beyond a higher mountain, beyond the vision of those in the valley. So you climb that and then see an even higher, more formidable  mountain range beyond.

The point is that you can hardly know what is really out there, in your path in life. Relying on the limited vision or gossip of your neighbors or local people or even authorities may bind you to a smaller world then the big one that awaits you.

Many people like to huddle together accepting common fears, limits, controls, thinking that since the other also so believes it must be true.

Rare are those willing to start out on their own, to see what Reality is.

Good luck exploring !
