There are many ways to think.
Here are 2.
One accept what authorities tell us.
Psalms 18:13 warns against that.
Two use your observation & reason skill to evaluate information and conclusions.
Physical objects reflect light.
If you look into a mirror you see yourself & what is behind you. The view you get is like if the mirror was clear glass and you were looking back thru the mirror, now a window. That is the perspective you would see.
All surfaces reflect light. It the surface is shiny, reflective, it is a picture of what is you & behind you.
Walk by a glass store front. You see yourself walking by. If it is light o the outside of the window, but darker on the inside, then you see mainly the reflection around you.
If you are inside, looking from the dark side to the outside, then you typically see thru the window (which is like a mirror when viewed from the outside.
If you stand before a shiny surface, but to a mirror or reflecting glass, it also shows you in the reflection of the view behind you, but the image is not so clear. Even a dull brick way reflects light like a mirror, but it is hard to see the details of the reflection.
Typically when seeing any view, or a reflection while you are outside, the prominent thing you see reflected is the bright spot of the sun.
Turn & look at the sky & sun. Nothing in the sky is so bright as the sky (on a clear sunny day).
With light, angle of incidence equals angle of reflection.
If you drop a rubber ball o a solid flat surface, it will bounce back towards your hand. If you throw that ball at an angle to the pavement, it will bounce off of the surface and forward at the same angle from the surface that it went in. Shallow angle, shallow rebound. Steep angle, deep rebound but to the other side.
Light reflection angles are like the bouncing balls reflections.
Consider a house of mirrors.
Mirrors that are convex, bowed or rounded out towards you, they make the reflected image look broader than the image should look like with normal flat surface mirror.
Mirrors that are concave, like a cave, a hollow spot, the image is compressed in the width if the concave is like a vertical cylinder.
If you look at any shiny object like curved car fenders in a parking lot, or at a shiny ball or a shiny apple, outside. You can see the bright spot, the reflection of the sun, on the apple, if the sun is behind.
The apple or any shiny sphere will show you the whole width of the sky on the tiny surface of the apple. Therefore the sun's reflection will appear smaller on the apple then if you look directly at it.
If you just look at a flat mirror, that shows you the sun, then the size of the sun, is the same as it appears if you look directly at the sun. If the reflecting surface is either concave (it makes the sun or reflection image seemingly less wide on the vertical axis of the concave tube. It's less wide compared to the real image or the scene behind you,
A dull surface like a flat brick wall will also reflect poorly the image behind you but you might not be able to see the bright spot of the sun given that you look at the angle where your viewing angle meets the surface where the same angle coming out of the wall looks up to the sun in the sky.
Reflections from a sphere of the sun, will be smaller in both the vertical axis & the horizontal axis. The ball reflection is trying to show you the whole width of the sky & the height all in that tiny shiny reflected image in the apple or from a curved glossy car fender.
When you look at any sphere reflecting the sun, the bright spot in the image will be smaller than the sun appears in the sky.
On he apple you will see the tiny spot of the bright sun and the rest of the apple will show the width & heights of the sky, but not nearly so bright as the sun spot.
Consider the sun, or even a car headlight or flash light at night. The reflection in the sphere is a bright spot on the sphere, but the rest of the sphere is not as bright. The bright spot is only the sun or the flash light.
If you have a flat dish or plate, when you illuminate it with a single point light source, it will be evenly illuminated across the width & heights of the plate. Since we see the sun & moon in the sky (as per eclipses) they appear to be about the same size. Therefore at best on a full moon night, the moon could be a flat dish surface reflecting the whole of the sun across it's facade. If the moon were a sphere, we would only see a bright spot, reflecting the sun, and the rest of the moon sphere would be much darker, reflecting only he dark sky.
If the moon is flat, it could be fully illuminated by the sun on a full moon.
If the moon is a sphere, it would only reflect the sun at a spot and that spot would be smaller than the size of the sun in the sky because a sphere reflecting image makes object seem smaller than the appearance to look directly at the sun or bright spot.
Finally, as the moon is supposedly a gray barren object, it is not shiny to reflect bright light. Perhaps the moon is other than we are told.
Brightness. Have the distance, double the brightness.
The full moon is supposedly 248,000 miles away.
Cut the distance in 1/2 to 125,000 miles, the moon would appear twice as bright. Cut the distance in 1/2 again and again. By the time you have cut the distance between you & the moon to 10 feet or so, you have doubled the brightness 1,000+ times. If an astroNOT were standing on the moon, that brightness would be blinding to the astroNOT. No Hasselblad camera or film could deal with such brightness, it would burn up the film negatives and make all white empty photographs.
As you get closer to the moon, you would have less atmosphere (clouds) for the light to travel thru, making the brightness of the moon appear to be brighter.
You can believe authorities without thinking or
You can consider obvious facts & observations around you.
These are just 2 obvious situations where your own intelligence can extract you from a great deception.
I write from my observation & my reason, to awaken other people. If we accept lies around us, we soon participate in giving away our wealth & health, our property, to taxes, fines, deceptions. Let's stop to think and quit slaving to pay people & organizations than tare lying to us.

I do not understand about eclipses & phases of the moon. I believe the moon is not a solid grey reflective sphere.
In the 1950s, man's flight was pressing the limits at 100,000 feet, or 20 miles up. The limits of man's world were reached, Antarctica in the south, and the dome above us.
May rocket were shot into the firmament, with nuclear detonations, but they could not break thru. These missions are described on Operation Fishbowl (1962)

NASA was formed to manage what the public should understand about "space" and the Moon Landing missions.
For 50+ years NASA has shown us the same photos & videos supposedly taken on the moon, but close examination shows those images could only have been taken in an earth like environment with an atmosphere & normal gravity.

Currently there are NASA videos on You Tube that NASA says
- now NASA can only fly in near earth orbit, up to 1,000 miles.
- NASA lost the technology to go to the moon, and it's a painful process to rebuild that technology,
- they are working on sending missions to Mars, which is much further away than the moon.
- they are developing Orion, a systems to carry man thru the dangerous radiation of the Van Allen Belt. If they can't go thru the Van Allen Radiation belt now, how did they go thru the belts on their 6 moon landing mission back in 1960s-70s.
The more you learn, the more you are able to learn.
You must first deal with simple ideas before you can imagine the more complex problems/ deceptions. If you start with the deep problems or deception, they will seem impossible as you lack the interlinking information to explain the great deceptions.
You have to research & study these subjects as the mainstream media, TV, news, gov't., and universities are working together to suppress, exaggerate, mis direct and otherwise keep the public from understanding basic observable facts. As long as they can keep us from the truth, they can control our lives in many ways. As we think we are dependent on gov't., we'd never question them as we fear we might lose some gov't. benefit.
