I hate to type all this but I want you to know these things & I tire telling many people one person at a time.
2 ¢ postage is your right, but you need to know, believe & practice it.
No one is obligated to tell or teach you about this. In fact, you have to patiently & gently teach your postmen.
The more that you mail out & get in, the more speedy & easy your mail will be.
In the beginning, just mail valueless news paper clippings. They seem of value yet cost you nothing if they are blocked, discarded or returned while you & your post men are learning.

The learner should add notes to the basic teaching. The more often you review your notes or act, the deeper is your memory.
There are 2 or more governing conditions, codes or laws ruling over the land and people in the land mass known as United States of America - the dejure USA Constitutional government and - the UNITED STATES Corporation formed 21 Feb. 1871, with their codes, courts, attorneys.

On a paper, or document can be a name of a person, or trust, or corporation and a mailing location.
Here is typical person & address:
John Doe.
125 Main St.
Chicago, Illinois 60611.
The use of a 2 letter state or a zip code, designates a federal territory, under the jurisdiction of the UNITED STATES (corporation).
Any one may offer or serve such papers to people/ person. A sheriff, a mail man, a process server may hand you or touch you with those papers. They can be left with an adult at a home or resident address who signs accepting that person/ address on the papers. You may reject them coming to you, but it's easiest to simply accept them.
Within 3 days (until midnight of the 3rd day) you may mail them back to whom ever issued them to you.
If you don't know what the papers are, or do not agree or do not feel subject to the papers, simply return them within 3 days of receiving them.

Look at the papers. If they have the format as describe a person / company in a federal district, if you retain them, you are consenting to be a federal person under jurisdiction of UNITED STATES (corp.) To accept that is voluntary. If you do not promptly return the papers, then you are accepting that you are the federal person & those papers establish jurisdiction over you in their elaborate system of codes, regulations, etc.
Regardless of who mails or serves to you, the one receiving the papers makes the critical decision to accept or reject the claim against you.
Such papers coming to you are an invitation to engage in their law system, not an obligation to engage.
People or authorities may lie to you, but you determine what information you accept or reject.
Consider the format of the name/ address. If ALL CAPITAL LETTERS or 2 letter states and or a zip code is used, that paper is a claim on an identified person at an addressed in the federal territory.
Your status is what you declare it to be. It represents your position in law & jurisdiction.
With God & men, all things are voluntary. With people we should only deal in truth, invitation & persuasion. No one should act as governments or corporations do to force you into unfair contracts by deception, threat, harm or loss.
So incoming mail, you can return.
Now lets talk of outgoing mail.

If I ever use a zip code, I put it in square brackets, which removes presumptions like the one addressed is a person in federal territory.
I don't use 2 letter states, as those are federal territories of UNITED STATES Corp.
Either [bracket] the zip or put a box around the whole name & address.
If you use a zip code, then you don't need to put the city state.
Go on internet to USPS Lookup
Enter what you know about any address to find the complete address: $ Street, City State, Zip Code.
If I look up 125 Main St. & see their 5+4 or 9 digit zip code, then I look up the 9 digits for 123, 124, 126, 127.
If the address I seek has a unique 9 digit zip, then I can use only the 9 digit zip and no city, state, no # street.
If I mail to a home where there are few people, they see letter coming in from Ted, so they know that that letter should go to Bryan (hypothetical). Therefore I can write to a 9 digit zip only. No other info needed. You might do this a few times before your postman understands what you are doing.
Some put c/o before a street address, or a person or company. I prefer to just put a box around the outgoing & return name/ address.
When mailing to any location, it is best if you include a name/ person or other distinguishing words, like CEO, Owner, Manager, etc., but a name is best. Look up the name.
Some try to establish jurisdiction over the address with words like sui juris or other.
I do not know about mailing to or from Estates or trusts.
Establish a General Delivery address. Use it always or for legal or controversy events.
I think you can get mail at General Delivery at your home too. I get all my mail at General Delivery.
Mail sent to General Delivery is received & held at our main downtown USPO for 30 days we can pick it up. If we don't get it before 30 days, they may return or destroy our mail.
Write a letter to your self, normal formal, normal postage, or have some one write to you. You can write to yourself & use my name/ address as return address so it looks like it came from me.

Wait some days, then go to USPO and ask for General Delivery mail held for your name. They may ask for ID. I don't think you have to show ID.
They may say you can only get General Delivery for 30 days in your life time, but the regulation is that they hold every General Delivery letter or package for 30 days from when that PO got the letter. They pencil date of receipt to PO on the envelop. If not picked up in 30 days, they should mail it back to where it came from.
You do not have to contact, or contract with your post office nor personnel. It is a right since before the US Constitution formed our country.
